In my art I try to express the beauty of my subject by emphasizing the characteristics that draw our attention and appreciation in nature: contrast, fluidity, balance, color, growth, movement. I also choose not to paint a single moment in time, but to try to express the beauty of natural cycles, of the continuity of life.”

Born on February 4, 1988 to Gail and Guy Barnes, Elisabeth Barnes was introduced to the world of art at a very early age. Encouraged by her father, she dabbled in watercolours until her grandmother taught her to use acrylics at the age of 12.

In 2009, Elisabeth designed a logo for the Human Resources Branch of Industry Canada entitled The Talent Tree, and realized a passion for creating art professionally.

Since 2009, Elisabeth has been designing art that offers a unique perspective of the world, emphasizing color and contrast. She acknowledges her family, her philosophical ideas and her spirituality as the inspiration for her clean and colourful paintings.

“I take pride in creating quality original art at very affordable prices.” To purchase a painting, or to commission a unique work of interpretive art in the theme of your choice, contact elisabeth_nicole@hotmail.com.
